Google Snatchs Up Another Mobile Company
Posted by Ryan Sarver under: Business .
Google, after already acquiring Dodgeball a few months back, has quietly snapped up Palo Alto-based Android, reports Business Week. Google is clearly making a move into location-based services (read advertising), but what I find more interesting in this acquisition is that they picked up Andy Rubin, formerly of Danger. I was always impressed with Danger’s, and more specifically Andy’s, vision of where the mobile market was headed. I will be interested to follow the development over the next few months.
