Bit Components

Posted by Ryan Sarver under: Programming .

I am a little late posting on this, but for those of your using flash, it may be very worthwhile. Keith Peters, our Lead Flash Developer, has released his own set of components. They are meant to mimic the set that Macromedia released but with a few great changes. First, they are about 1/3 the size of the comparative Macromedia components. Secondly, they are much easier to skin. After using the Macromedia components throughout, we realized what an undertaking it was to get them to look like anything other than the original Halo theme used by Macromedia. Lastly, they offer an ease of styling that is not found in the current set of Macromedia components.

Beam Jive has licensed the components from Keith and will handle selling and supporting the components. So go check them out at the Beam Jive Store.

Keith Peters? Isn’t he one of the most respected Flash developers in the world?
